Top Food & Drink Apps in the Middle East: Q4 2024 Performance

In the final quarter of 2024, the Middle East saw notable trends in the food and drink app category on a unified platform. Here’s a look at the performance of the top five applications during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Vivino: Drink The Right Wine experienced a consistent increase in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $1.9K and peaking at $2.6K by the end of December. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise, reaching a high of around 935 in the week of December 23. The app's active users also grew steadily, culminating in about 3.4K by the quarter's end.

Cookpad Recipes, homemade food maintained a stable weekly revenue, fluctuating between $1.4K and $1.7K. Downloads showed a gradual upward trend, with a notable peak of over 2K in the final week. Active users, however, saw a decrease mid-quarter, dropping from 19.2K to around 13.9K by December.

Gronda: Recipes for Chefs showed variable revenue, peaking at $1.2K in early December. Downloads remained low throughout the quarter but spiked to 275 in the last week, while active users mirrored this trend, reaching 160.

Seeya saw significant growth in both revenue and downloads. Revenue rose from $128 to $1.6K by late December. Downloads increased sharply, peaking at nearly 4K in the week of December 23.

NYT Cooking: Quick Tasty Meals had stable revenue, with minor fluctuations around $600-$800. Although downloads were relatively low, they increased towards the end of the quarter, reaching 95. Active users remained steady, hovering around 1.3K.
